Information possession registration must be preserved on chain for no less than 30 years, China’s Shenzhen authorities stated in a draft proposal of its information property rights registration regime revealed on Monday.

- Underneath the proposal, information house owners can declare property rights of their information which have been consensually collected by companies and their derivatives by submitting a registration with the related authorities.
- After registration, information house owners will obtain a certificates of possession for “information property,” which may be traded within the information market or used as belongings for financing and accounting functions.
- Final December, China revealed tips to construct a regulated information market, laying out plans for a regulatory framework on information possession.
- Shenzhen is soliciting public opinions on the draft till Mar. 17.
