SEC charges eight in $100M social media securities fraud

The U.S. Securities and Alternate Fee (SEC) has charged eight people with a $100 million securities fraud scheme involving main social media platforms, Twitter and Discord.

Seven of the defendants reportedly promoted themselves as profitable merchants on the social media platforms and inspired their followers to purchase chosen shares by posting targets and updates on their very own positions.
